Water Quality Automation Technician

What you get to do:

As a Water Quality Automation Technician, you will provide key support for our year-round park operational needs. You will:

  • Perform routine inspections of all Water Quality Life Support Systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair Water Quality Life Support Systems
  • Set up and install systems for new and existing equipment
  • Perform bench and field repair
  • Plan workload with minimal supervision
  • Train others in general system operations and functions
  • Strictly adhere to all safety procedures
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests
  • Perform other duties as assigned


What it takes to succeed:

  • At least two years of electrical controls experience
  • Experience working with VFD’s, PLC’s and controllers
  • Ability to understand blueprints and schematic diagrams
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and math skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull 100 lbs.
  • Comfortable climbing stairs/ladders and working at heights
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in any weather/temperature condition
  • Scheduling flexibility
  • Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain a company driver’s license preferred
  • Good mechanical and electrical skills required
  • Ability to install conduit (PVC, EMT, Rigid) and low voltage raceways preferred

What else is important:

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
  • Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes
    Perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
  • Work a flexible schedule/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
