What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flower Production Assistant position at SeaWeed Co.?
As the Flower Production Assistant, you play a critical role in the production of prerolls and the packaging of all flower products. In this role, you help optimize flower production and packaging procedures to successfully create and package consistent, safe, quality prerolls and packaged flower products to meet sales demands. You report directly to the Senior Product Production Manager, with direction provided by the Assistant Production Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of associates in the production and packaging of large batches of prerolls and weighed flower products.
- Assist in developing and executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), finding the most efficient means to achieve production goals and standards.
- Prepare and clean work spaces, equipment and materials daily
- Wash and sterilize equipment between batches, and ensure cleanliness of the flower room in general, to avoid cross contamination and testing failures.
- Assist in preparing samples to be sent for testing
- Perform administrative tasks such as printing labels, auditing products and supplies, and properly tracking inventory within METRC and Dutchie (our systems of record).
- Package and label finished products for compliance
- Assist with lab associate duties as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age
- Reliable transportation
- Individual Identification Card Registry Identification Card issued by the Office of Cannabis Policy of Maine
- Previous Cannabis flower production and packaging experience required
- Team player and experience working on a diverse team
- Strong comprehension skills for following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and accurate weighing of products
- Ability to multitask various activities, machines and systems with urgency
- Effective at completing monotonous activities while maintaining quality and minimal errors
- Detailed oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency, quality and sanitation
- Demonstrated ability to set standards and hold team members accountable
- Ability to work between the hours of 8am and 8pm, Monday through Friday, with a rotating schedule as business dictates
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50-lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8-hours daily), push, pull, bend and stir
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
