The Seattle Fire Department is seeking a regular, full-time Management Systems Analyst, Senior. This position will manage the evaluation, strategic planning, and administration of the Seattle Fire Department’s technology portfolio. They will also be responsible for developing, managing, and implementing SFD’s technology strategic planning initiatives.
This position will report to the Executive Director of Administration and work out of the Seattle Fire Department’s Headquarters in the Pioneer Square area. Some remote work will be available.

Requires three years of experience in systems, operations, procedures, research or analysis and a Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, finance, computer science or a related field (or a combination of education, training or experience that provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class).

The Seattle Fire Department is seeking a regular, full-time Management Systems Analyst, Senior. This position will manage the evaluation, strategic planning, and administration of the Seattle Fire Department’s technology portfolio. Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the dedicated administrator for SFD’s staffing program (Telestaff), ensuring system stability and maintaining the system’s configuration.
- Coordinate with the support team for the City’s payroll system (Workday) to triage issues.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and oversee implementation of updates and enhancements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for system vendors, end-users, and support teams.
- Coordinate solutions with subject matter experts.
- Establish long-term technology goals for the Department and present goals to the Leadership Team for approval. Develop work plans and lead system user groups.
- Identify areas of technological opportunity for SFD and partnering departments, including emerging technologies, industry best practices, and resource needs.
- Act as SFD project manager in coordination with the City’s Information Technology Department for all complex, long-term IT projects.
- Serve as primary technical advisor for the Department.
- Serve as central point of communication between SFD’s Operations, Resource Management, Fire Prevention, and Administrative divisions on technology related issues. Coordinate project plans and system implementations.
- Coordinate with other City and regional partners, including Seattle Information Technology, the Seattle Police Department, CARES, the office of Emergency Management, Seattle Public Utilities, Seattle City Light, Seattle Department of Transportation, and the Public Safety Emergency Radio Network.
- Provide training in operational procedures to staff and system users.
- Communicate system updates and provide training to department personnel.
- Perform other duties as needed.

- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience managing technology projects.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and Adobe is desired.
- Previous experience in a public safety, public sector, or unionized environment is preferred.
