Social Worker – Retirement Community

Searstone Retirement Community is seeking a compassionate and self-motivated Social Worker to support the emotional, social, and transitional needs of our residents. This role plays a vital part in promoting independence, advocacy, and well-being within a vibrant senior living community.

Key Responsibilities

• Support new resident adjustment and ongoing psychosocial needs
• Advocate for resident rights while maintaining confidentiality
• Assess resident needs and assist with transitions between levels of care
• Provide counseling on advance care planning and aging-related concerns
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (BSW or MSW)
• Experience working with older adults or in senior living preferred
• Strong communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
