Role overview

As an In-Home Major Appliance & Refrigeration Service Technician, you’ll diagnose and repair residential appliances and refrigeration units while delivering clear, friendly communication to customers. You’ll combine hands-on technical skill with careful documentation and a strong commitment to safety.

What you’ll tackle

• Pinpoint faults and repair major home appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, and ovens.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to keep equipment running at peak performance.
• Communicate findings, repair options, and care recommendations to customers in plain language.
• Document services performed and parts utilized with accuracy and detail.
• Stay current on evolving appliance technologies, tools, and repair methods.
• Partner with teammates to resolve challenging diagnostic and repair scenarios.
• Follow all safety practices while working in customers’ homes.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in appliance repair is a plus.
• Proven experience as an appliance repair technician or in a closely related trade.
• Expert troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
• Self-directed with excellent time management.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations.
• Experience with soldering/brazing.
