What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate Attorney position at SearchPointNY?

We are hiring a Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join a top-ranked AmLaw firm's Real Estate Group. This group represents buyers, sellers, lenders, owners, and tenants across all asset classes in acquisition, disposition, leasing, financing, joint venture, and redevelopment matters, and this is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level associate to work with a great team and top clients. This position offers a hybrid schedule and excellent benefits, with a starting salary ~$200k.


Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial leases, financing documents, joint venture agreements, and redevelopment-related contracts.
  • Review and analyze complex real estate agreements and title/survey materials to support transactions from start to finish.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and clients to advance deal strategy and maintain a smooth, efficient workflow.
  • Deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing deadlines and client expectations.


Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with 4–6 years of commercial real estate transactional experience.
  • Active Connecticut Bar admission (required for the primary office location).
  • Experience representing clients in acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, joint ventures, and redevelopment projects.
  • Strong writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
