ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our Client is a rapidly growing, Private Equity-backed manufacturing company based in north central Mississippi. They’re expanding their leadership team and looking for a driven, detail-oriented Controller to take charge of financial operations and support the company’s continued growth trajectory.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and wants to make a meaningful impact on a growing organization. The Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting while partnering closely with the CFO, executive leadership, and operations teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee all general accounting, financial accounting, and financial reporting activities
• Support the CFO with PE, management, and board reporting
• Assist with treasury and cash management functions
• Support the annual budget process and monthly financial analysis and planning
• Collaborate with the CFO and outsourced tax function for planning and compliance
• Ensure the integrity of all accounting systems, processes, and internal controls
• Support the CFO during the annual external audit process
• Lead or assist with special projects assigned by the PE sponsor
• Partner with executive and operations leadership to drive efficient, profitable growth

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong accounting and finance technical proficiency with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to build strong relationships
• Demonstrated business acumen and fiduciary mindset
• Proven project management capabilities
• Hands-on approach and comfort operating at both strategic and tactical levels

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• CPA strongly preferred
• Big 4 audit experience followed by industry accounting leadership experience is a plus
• Experience in a Private Equity-backed or manufacturing environment
