What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Design Engineer position at Search Masters, Inc.?
- Lead electro/mechanical design efforts for a diverse range of aviation components using SolidWorks
- Design exterior lights, landing modules, cockpit switches, and indicator light switches for aerospace applications
- Drive new product development initiatives and contribute to innovative design solutions
- Manage and maintain comprehensive bills of materials throughout the product lifecycle
- Collaborate with OEM samples and the New Product Development team to reverse engineer customer drawings
- Partner with project engineers and cross-functional team members to develop and refine design concepts
- Apply GD&T techniques to accurately convey design intent across all engineering documentation
- BS in Engineering (required)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering design, with a strong preference for aerospace product design
- Proficiency in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks
