Associate Commercial Litigation Attorney HYBRID

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Litigation Associate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Conducting legal research and analysis on various litigation matters (specifically securities and complex commercial litigation) using tools such as Westlaw.
• Drafting and preparing pleadings, motions, briefs, legal correspondence, discovery requests, discovery responses and other legal documents.
• Participating in depositions, court conferences and hearings, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Developing and implementing case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
• Reviewing and interpreting applicable laws, rulings, and regulations.
• Managing all aspects of the discovery process, including document production, interrogatories, and exhibit organization.
• Assisting with trial preparation, including witness preparation and case file management.
• Maintaining client communications, provide legal advice, and offer regular updates on case progress.
• Conducting interviews with clients and witnesses.
• Attendingclient meetings and negotiate settlements when appropriate.
• Other duties, projects and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
· Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York; admission in New Jersey is a plus.
· 4 - 6 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting; specifically securities and complex commercial litigation.
· Strong knowledge of civil procedure, evidence rules, and experience in both state and federal courts.
· Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
· Strong verbal and written communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
