We are seeking a detail oriented Packer to join our team. This candidate possesses excellent organizational skills and works exceptionally well in a production-oriented environment. The candidate will mainly work in a team-oriented environment but must be able to work independently as well. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure orders are packed and cased based upon order specifications. Responsibilities
- Support company-wide mission, values, and operational objectives.
- Pick, count, and package wholesale bags, ensuring accuracy of all orders.
- Inspect packaging to ensure a neat, secure, and professional appearance prior to casing.
- Weigh and label cases accurately in accordance with company standards.
- Seal cases manually or operate sealing/taping equipment as needed.
- Operate machinery including Rennco equipment, stretch wrappers, and paper balers.
- Stack finished case goods onto pallets efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Follow all departmental procedures, production goals, and company policies.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety programs and protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working in alternate areas or locations as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English sufficient to perform essential job functions.
- Ability to read and comprehend job-related documents and labels in English.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to count, measure, and use a calculator as required for the position.
- Ability to read and interpret a weight scale.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to write legibly for documentation purposes.
- Ability to meet established productivity standards, including packaging up to 300 wholesale bags per hour, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to complete all required safety and industrial equipment training, with or without reasonable accommodation, prior to performing related job duties.
- Experience in a factory, manufacturing, or production setting is preferred but not required.
