TRUCK DRIVER / MATERIAL HANDLER
We are looking for an individual to transport raw materials, finished goods inventories and other materials or supplies primarily between our three plant locations in Bristol, TN.
Key responsibilities also include loading, unloading, filling replenishment orders and the Kan-Ban system.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
Must have and maintain a valid CDL Class B and agree to periodic MVR monitoring.
Prior experience receiving or unloading in a warehouse or distribution setting or knowledge of logistics is preferred but not required.
Experience operating powered warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Promote safety and safety awareness in all areas. Driver must comply with all State and Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines.
- Drive company truck making on-schedule deliveries and pick-ups while notifying management of any delays in the delivery schedule.
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks on a weekly basis to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Immediately report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or any damage to the vehicle, products and/or equipment.
- Safely operate forklifts, stand ups, pallet jacks and scales to load and unload truck and ensure truck wheels have been choked prior to loading/unloading truck.
- Store materials in proper racks and bin locations or on floor, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material
- Loads/unloads materials and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to secure items in position on truck, preventing shifting or damage in transit.
- Document and perform material movements (e.g., KanBan cards, RO’s, etc.); must be able to navigate successfully in the ERP system in performing material inventory queries etc.
- Maintain truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
- On occasion, it may be necessary to travel out of state to deliver or pickup materials, equipment or other products between Wooster, Ohio and Bristol, TN or other vendors and suppliers.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
