Role Description The Human Resources Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Tuscaloosa, AL. This position supports daily HR operations, including maintaining employee records, processing new hire and onboarding documentation, and assisting with benefits and payroll-related inquiries. The Human Resources Assistant helps coordinate recruitment activities such as posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with applicants. Additional responsibilities include supporting training and development initiatives, preparing HR reports, ensuring adherence to company policies, and providing responsive, confidential support to employees and managers. The role requires close collaboration with the HR team and property management staff to help deliver consistent, high-quality HR services.
Qualifications
- Foundational HR skills: experience with employee records management, onboarding processes, and basic benefits and payroll support.
- Administrative and organizational skills: proficiency in data entry, document preparation, scheduling, and maintaining accurate files and HR documentation.
- Communication and interpersonal skills: ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels, handle confidential information, and respond clearly to HR-related inquiries.
