Position Overview:
Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, is looking for a Technical Lead who likes to work each day with the end customer and ensure mission success. You will be responsible for managing all technical aspects of a large contract supporting a real-world mission with global impact. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background across a wide range of technology in hands on roles, experience managing teams, experience with government contracting (preferably with the DOD). This is an amazing opportunity to engineer solutions for unique challenges.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical guidance, oversight and mentorship to a team of engineers and developers working on the lifecycle development and operational support of a defensive cyber operations kit.
Kit Development:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy new features and functionality for the kit, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Research new technical concepts and quickly generate ideas on how its use could improve mission.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to ensure the kit meets security and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with system/software engineers to identify and address defects and compatibility, ensuring high-quality software and hardware delivery.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure the kit complies with relevant security standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Coordinate activities to conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate potential issues in collaboration with program ISSO/ISSEs.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Communicate technical information and project status to stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and executives.
- Foster a collaborative environment by mentoring team members, providing guidance, and promoting knowledge sharing.
- Collecting requirements from the customer and producing a working solution.
Minimum Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in software development, cybersecurity, or a related field, with a focus on defensive cyber operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strengths or focus within 4 or more of the following areas:
-Software development
-Networking
-Virtualization
-Computer Forensics
-Systems Engineering
-Penetration Testing
-Administrator level knowledge of UNIX and Windows based operating systems.
-Programming languages: Python, C , Java, etc.
-Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, etc.
-Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Industry Certifications: CompTIA Security , CISSP, or other relevant certifications.
- Experience with defensive cyber operations tools and technologies (e.g., Splunk, Elastic Stack).
- Experience with defensive cyber operations tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Experience in or supporting DoD based contracts or operations.
Salary : $152,000 - $207,000
