- Leading and maintaining the AS9100 Quality Management System
- Managing and developing the Quality Engineering team
- Ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements
- Driving corrective action, risk management, and continuous improvement
- Partnering cross-functionally to improve overall business performance
What You Will Do
Quality Management System Leadership
- Serve as a key leader of the AS9100 Quality Management System
- Ensure ongoing compliance with AS9100 and applicable customer requirements
- Lead internal audit program and support external, customer, and certification audits
- Oversee document control, training compliance, risk management, and quality records
- Maintain and improve procedures, work instructions, and system documentation
- Ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive action processes
- Lead and mentor Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians
- Provide technical guidance and escalation support for quality issues
- Align quality priorities with production schedules and organizational objectives
- Lead investigations into internal and customer nonconformances
- Drive structured root cause analysis, containment, and sustainable corrective actions
- Analyze quality data and KPIs to identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Oversee inspection strategy, supplier quality performance, and production quality controls
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Experience to improve quality outcomes
- Champion practical, floor-driven continuous improvement initiatives
- Serve as a primary Quality contact during customer visits and audits
- Interface directly with customers to resolve quality issues professionally and effectively
- Oversee supplier quality performance and corrective action activities
- Support risk-based supplier evaluation and monitoring processes
- Develop and strengthen the Quality team
- Balance compliance discipline with operational practicality
- Build cross-functional alignment around quality objectives
- Drive measurable improvements in defect reduction, escape prevention, and process stability
- Contribute to strategic quality planning in partnership with the Quality Director
Required
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field
- 7 years of Quality experience in manufacturing or production environments
- 3 years in a leadership or supervisory quality role
- Strong practical experience working within AS9100 requirements
- Practical experience leading audits, RCCA, nonconformance management, and supplier quality
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Experience working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting or serving in a Management Representative role
- Proven success developing and mentoring quality professionals
- Strong data analysis and risk assessment capabilities
- ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE)
- Experience in high-mix, make-to-print manufacturing environments
Salary : $118,000 - $130,000
