3D Structural Designer/Drafter

Qualifications

• An Associates or two-year drafting degree preferred.
• Two years of experience in structural designing preferred.
• Experience with Solidworks preferred.
• Experience with Tekla SDS2 Advanced Steel preferred.
  
  

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Promotes, executes, and adheres to the companys safety program.
• Produces accurate shop detail drawings, erection plans, advance mil tests and bill of materials.
• Interprets and incorporates accurately customers designs and specifications for shop drawings to meet quality requirements.
• Establishes a material list identifying grade, size and quantity for each job.
• Delivers drawings according to customer schedule.
• Reviews contract drawings for all requirements on a project.
• Starts and maintains a record of all design and drawings in current drawing log.
• Produces anchor bolt plans, erection, assembly, and shop drawings required to complete fabrication and erection of a project.
• Verifies fabrication drawings on hard copy.
• Provides updates to Drafting Manager on project progress.
• Communicates with employees to explain blueprints and assembly process.
• Performs other duties as required based on companys needs.
