- Lead and develop a team of quality associates, with direct responsibility for a growing team.
- Drive root cause investigations, corrective actions, and preventive actions related to quality issues and customer complaints.
- Foster a strong quality culture through daily floor walks, team huddles, and direct engagement with production teams.
- Serve as the site SQF Practitioner and HACCP Coordinator, overseeing Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external and internal customers on quality-related topics.
- Partner with the Plant Manager to define quality performance metrics, track results, and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead internal, second-party, and third-party audits related to quality, food safety, and GMP.
- Support supplier quality initiatives in alignment with corporate purchasing directives.
- Balance hands-on problem solving with effective people leadership and change management.
- Proven hands-on leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to influence, coach, and develop teams on the production floor.
- Solid understanding of quality management systems, food safety, and regulatory standards (SQF, HACCP, GMP).
- Practical, action-oriented mindset with the ability to drive improvements from day one.
- Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with operators, leaders, customers, and suppliers.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with high floor engagement.
- Proficiency with common quality and data analysis tools (e.g., root cause analysis, control charts, process improvement methodologies).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
