Job Title:
Certified X-Ray Technologist
Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. No weekends or major holidays.
Overtime may sometimes occur but is not common in this position.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
License through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Job Summary:
We are a large, privately owned, primary care office located on the campus of St. Vincent's in Birmingham. Our X-Ray Techs work together to maintain an efficient department and provide quality patient scans as ordered by the physicians.
Job Duties Include:
- Operating radiology equipment under the direction of the physicians.
- Explaining the process and correct positioning to the patients for their scan.
- Moving and adjusting equipment to set exposure factors.
- Reviewing and evaluating images to determine if they are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
