Key Responsibilities
• Manage procurement activities across a portfolio of IT infrastructure and technology projects.
• Coordinate the purchasing lifecycle, including vendor quote requests, purchase order creation, order tracking, and delivery management.
• Partner with project teams to ensure procurement activities align with project schedules and deployment timelines.
• Monitor vendor performance, delivery commitments, and order fulfillment to minimize project delays.
• Collaborate with IT Asset Management teams to ensure accurate receiving, tracking, and lifecycle management of purchased equipment and software.
• Maintain procurement records, purchasing documentation, and reporting metrics.
• Assist with budget monitoring, cost tracking, and procurement forecasting across multiple projects.
• Identify procurement risks and proactively implement solutions to avoid project impacts.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement processes, workflows, and reporting.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes for hardware, software, networking, and infrastructure purchases.
• Create, process, and track purchase orders from initiation through delivery.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, project managers, and technical teams regarding procurement status and delivery schedules.
• Monitor procurement requests and ensure timely fulfillment of project requirements.
• Update procurement tracking systems, purchasing records, and status reports.
• Participate in project meetings to provide procurement updates and identify potential risks or delays.
• Work closely with Asset Management teams to verify receipt and inventory of purchased equipment.
• Support financial tracking activities, including purchase reconciliation and budget reporting.
• Manage multiple concurrent procurement requests and project priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Experience and Attributes
• 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, project coordination, or a related field.
• Experience supporting IT infrastructure, networking, systems, enterprise technology, or data center environments.
• Proven ability to manage a high volume of purchase orders and vendor transactions.
• Understanding of procurement lifecycle processes, including quoting, purchasing, tracking, receiving, and asset management.
• Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously in a procurement, project coordination, or project management capacity.
• Experience with Workday and Smartsheet preferred.
• Familiarity with IT Asset Management practices and inventory tracking systems.
• Knowledge of project budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with infrastructure project teams, technology deployments, or enterprise-scale IT initiatives is highly preferred.
