Key Responsibilities
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network engineers to drive a high performance and accountable culture
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of large scale network infrastructure including IP backbone, MPLS, and internet services
• Manage relationships with network service providers, carriers, and external partners
• Drive scalability, reliability, and performance across network services including DIA, IX, and Metro E offerings
• Collaborate with product and business teams to align network capabilities with revenue generating services
• Own capacity planning, network architecture strategy, and long term infrastructure roadmap
• Ensure high availability and uptime through proactive monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement
• Oversee automation initiatives and tooling to improve operational efficiency
• Manage budgets, vendor selection, and cost optimization strategies
• Support global network expansion initiatives across multiple regions
Day to Day Responsibilities
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to network engineering team members
• Oversee ongoing network operations, maintenance, and performance optimization
• Coordinate with network service providers and carriers to support service delivery and issue resolution
• Monitor network performance and respond to incidents to maintain uptime and reliability
• Execute capacity planning and support infrastructure scaling efforts
• Partner with product and business teams to support network related initiatives
• Manage vendor relationships and support cost optimization efforts
• Drive implementation of automation tools and operational improvements
• Support expansion of network infrastructure across regions
• Participate in cross functional initiatives with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Experience and Attributes
• Experience managing network engineering teams
• Experience working with network service providers and carriers
• Experience in network engineering or architecture
• Expertise in IP networking including BGP, MPLS, and large scale routing environments
• Experience with enterprise and carrier grade platforms such as Juniper, Cisco, and Arista
• Experience designing and operating high availability large scale networks
• Experience leading cross functional initiatives and working with external partners
• Background in data center, colocation, or cloud infrastructure environments is preferred
• Experience supporting network products such as DIA, IX, and Metro E is preferred
• Familiarity with network automation, scripting, or tooling is preferred
• Experience managing budgets and vendor contracts is preferred
• Exposure to global network operations across multiple regions is preferred
