Key Responsibilities
- Oversee department operations, staffing, and budget compliance.
- Collaborate across disciplines to optimize clinical outcomes and support patient-centered care.
- Participate in clinical performance improvement activities and quality initiatives.
- Develop and evaluate strategies for efficient, effective, and timely patient care.
- Manage staff development, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, legal, and ethical standards in discharge planning and case management.
- Registered Nurse with a valid license (state-specific or multistate compact).
- Minimum of three years of case management experience and two years in leadership roles.
- Proficiency in clinical decision-making, medical criteria, and discharge planning guidelines (e.g., Interqual, Milliman).
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in process improvement and performance monitoring.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, payer guidelines, and hospital information systems.
- Ability to work independently in a stressful environment.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting and carrying patients and equipment.
