Performs respiratory therapy procedures in accordance with physician orders, departmental policies, and protocols. Works independently across acute and critical care settings, consulting with healthcare professionals to recommend treatment options.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute general and critical care respiratory procedures, including invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
- Manage airway devices and associated equipment.
- Obtain, analyze, and report blood gas results.
- Document procedures, charges, and provide patient and family education.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and provide thorough reports and recommendations.
- Follow infection control and quality protocols, including equipment disinfection.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory Care Program or equivalent experience/diploma.
- Licensing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Current BLS certification; additional certifications like NRP, PALS, ACLS may be required and maintained.
- Proficient in treating patients of all ages, including neonates to geriatrics.
