Qualifications & Skills
- NBCOT certification required; renewal optional
- Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT)
- Current state licensure in good standing
- CPR certification (upon hire or during orientation)
- Preferred: minimum one year of experience; new graduates welcome
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Strong communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills
- Ability to demonstrate good body mechanics and maintain confidentiality
- Implement and adjust occupational therapy treatment plans focusing on activities of daily living
- Establish, assess, and modify patient goals
- Oversee therapy assistants, aides, and students
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation and charts
- Participate in community health initiatives as appropriate
- Ensure patient safety, rights, and confidentiality are upheld
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and excellent customer service
- Work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and follow organizational policies
- Assist in emergency situations and maintain physical mobility during work
