The MRI Technologist performs routine diagnostic MRI procedures within the Medical Imaging Department, adhering to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and medical staff directives. They ensure safe MRI testing by following safety protocols, preparing patients and equipment for optimal diagnostic results.
Responsibilities
- Conduct MRI procedures accurately and safely
- Prepare patients and equipment for imaging
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and institutional policies
- Associate's degree in Radiology Technology or completion of a recognized Radiologic Technology Program
- Active ARRT certification; advanced MRI certification preferred
- CPR certification
- If not registered in MRI, must schedule MRI registry within 12 months of hire
