We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours. How You'll Make An Impact
We’re a team of underwriters and brokers committed to supporting the Gallagher Select team (small busines). Our focus is on handling E&S business quickly and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Review and analyze submissions from Retail Agents to determine appropriate carriers, coverage options, forms, and pricing for small business wholesale insurance.
- Build relationships with Borkers and Carriers.
- Pre-qualify risks and ensure compliance with carrier guidelines and underwriting standards.
- Collaborate with carrier underwriters to secure competitive terms and maintain strong market relationships.
- Provide accurate quotes and proposals, ensuring timely turnaround and attention to detail.
- Identify additional coverage opportunities and advise agents on risk solutions.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, market conditions, and carrier appetite to support informed underwriting decisions.
- Communicate effectively with Retail Agents to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and deliver exceptional service.
- Utilize internal systems and tools to manage workflow, documentation, and reporting.
- Support team initiatives and assist with training or mentoring when assigned.
- Minimal travel may be required for carrier or client engagement.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in interpreting underwriting guidelines and applying them effectively.
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on service and accuracy.
- Solid understanding of commercial insurance products and risk management principles.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience.
- Home state P&C license (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Wholesale Insurance experience in insurance a plus with GL, Casualty, Property
