Seacoast Charter School is seeking a friendly, organized and collaborative individual to serve as our Front Desk Office Manager. Seacoast Charter School is a K–8 public charter school where arts and academics go hand in hand. Our small, student-centered community values creativity, collaboration and joy in learning, and our Front Desk Office Manager plays an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for students, families and staff.
Schedule: 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., not to exceed 188 days (180 student days, 8 teacher days)
Salary: $33,840 annually
Position Overview
The Front Desk Office Manager manages the front desk and day-to-day logistics of the school office. As a primary point of contact for students, families, staff and visitors, the Office Manager helps maintain a welcoming, supportive and efficient main office and provides routine support for student health needs.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree or relevant experience preferred.
3–4 years of administrative, office management, school-based or public-facing experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities and attend to detail.
Proficient computer and general office technology skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Ability and willingness to provide routine student health support and administer medications according to school procedures.
Successful completion of a background check.
Responsibilities
Manage daily front desk operations, including answering phones and the school door and assisting students, families, staff and visitors.
Respond to routine parent questions and communications and direct concerns to the appropriate staff member when needed.
Organize and oversee the school lunch program.
Provide routine support to students with illness, injury or other health concerns.
Dispense over-the-counter and prescription medications according to school procedures, maintain appropriate documentation and communicate with parents/guardians regarding health concerns.
Work with the Facilities Director and Head of School on school safety matters.
Perform other duties as needed to support school operations.
Expectations
The Front Desk Office Manager must be professional, organized, dependable and able to maintain confidentiality. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with staff, communicate effectively with students and families and contribute to a positive and supportive school environment.
Physical Requirements
The position requires a combination of sitting, standing and walking; extended computer use; occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds; and occasional bending, reaching and kneeling.
