SeaCast is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Wax Operator to join our precision investment casting team on afternoon shift. This role involves operating injection-molding machines to produce wax patterns used in the casting process. The ideal candidate will ensure quality standards are met, maintain equipment, and contribute to a clean and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate wax injection-molding machines to produce precision wax patterns.
- Replenish wax and prepare tanks, including neutralizing acid as needed.
- Retrieve and maintain tooling and equipment.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Follow production schedules to meet manufacturing demands.
- Complete technical documentation such as tech cards and travelers.
- Participate in training and cross-training across production areas.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and good eye/hand coordination.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of completing required documentation accurately.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to speak, read, and write English.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift 25–40 lbs.
Work Environment
May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, or high temperatures. Safety training and protective equipment provided in accordance with company policy and legal standards.
