Job Summary:
The Product Development Engineer will create and implement efficient manufacturing instructions, design tooling and apply sound judgement and technical practices to develop complex investment castings for the aerospace industry. The goal is to make castings that conform to customer specifications, drive speed to market and produce them profitably.
Role Description:
The Product Development Engineer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of new part development, existing part maintenance, driving first part yield, optimizing production efficiency, designing tooling, gating systems, and collaborating with the customer and internal teams. This is a full-time role located in Marysville, WA.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- 5 years of investment casting processes and metallurgy experience is required.
- Aerospace manufacturing background and experience is a significant plus.
- Knowledge of all of the following software programs: SolidWorks, MS Office
- Experience with CAD design, tooling and gating systems
- Experience in quality control and process optimization
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a production team
- Represents SeaCast during all customer interactions
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Outstanding verbal and written skills.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to solve complex problems.
- Maintain knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods, trends, and developments in technology and equipment to keep the organization competitive.
- Identify and assess problems and departures from established manufacturing standards and best practices; research and recommend solutions.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in foundry operations.
- Identify and assess problems and departures from established manufacturing standards and best practices; research and recommend solutions.
- Represent SeaCast through effective written and verbal communication during technical presentations.
- Implement methods and modifications to reduce production costs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $125,000 DOE
