What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Safety Associate (Part Time and Full Time) position at Seabury?
Our Campus Safety team is responsible for the safety and security of all people and property at Seabury. They are the first to respond to a call for assistance and provide calm and supportive help whenever needed. Ideal candidates will deliver outstanding customer service, have strong communication skills and sensitivity to older adults. Valid CT driver’s license required. Minimum of 1 years’ experience in security or public emergency services is preferred. Rates begin at $16-$18 per hour with additional shift and weekend differentials.
Shift Differentials:
3rd shift: $1.00/hr
Weekends: $1.00/hr
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Help to conduct Flag Checks and perform wellness checks as needed · Maintain the medical response bags and inventory of emergency medical response supplies and oxygen tanks
· Follow all applicable statutes, regulations and procedures for the clean-up and disposition of hazardous medical waste during an emergency medical response incident
· Report identified deficiencies in resident medical files and records to appropriate department supervisors
· Respond to and investigate all fire alarms, disasters or other emergency incidents and provides necessary support
· Respond to and investigate all personal and emergency aid alarms
· Respond to all medical assist calls and act according to the specific needs as trained
· Respond to and assist in any shelter-in-place or evacuation order
· Control access to the facility through an established access control management system to assess those with a legitimate need to gain entry to the facility, including residents, employees, visitors, resident guests, vendors and contractors
· Patrol property and site buildings regularly, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security risks, mechanical problems and unauthorized persons
· Respond to general calls for service
Required:
· High School diploma
· CPR/First Aid/AED training or ability to complete such trainings
· Valid motor vehicle operator’s license
Current Openings:
- PT 3rd Shift : Saturday and Sunday; 11:00pm-7:00am or 12:00am-8:00am
- FT 1st shift: Saturday-Wednesday; 40 hrs/wk
