We work with individuals with Intellectual & developmental disabilities. They are looking for companions to provide them exciting activities and support. Giving them the independence and care they desire while providing them a fun filled day of activities & excitement!
Requirements:
Must have a valid DRIVERS LICENSE, clean driving record
Must be able to pass a health and TB Test (Employer paid)
Be able to pass a CPR & Basic First Aid Test (Employer paid)
Must pass a background clearance (Employer paid)
Clean driving record
Light housekeeping
Medication Assistance
Be patient and compassionate
Must pass a background clearance
Must be able to write and speak English
Job Duties:
Must follow Title 17 & Title 22 Regulations
Medication Assistance
Use the company van to transport individuals to and from medical appointments and activities
Assist individuals with daily preparation such as hygiene related skills, getting dressed, exercise routines, socialization skills, and community preparedness.
Be able to document daily notes of routine and schedules.
Assist with preparing meals.
Assist with Hygiene reminders.
Attend mandatory paid training meetings for continuing education units
Assist individuals with activities such as art, crafts, going on field trips, exercise, and other related community activities.
Maintain a positive attitude
Be dependable and respectful
