What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Business Loan Officer position at Seaboard Federal Credit Union?
Seaboard Federal Credit Union is seeking a Member Business Loan Officer that will be responsible for developing and managing a Business Loan portfolio. This position is based out of our Bucksport office with travel required throughout our service area. This area includes our branch locations in Ellsworth and Hermon as well as potential business clients located anywhere in Hancock, Penobscot, Waldo and Washington Counties.
Major duties and responsibilities of this position include: developing potential business member loans, managing an assigned loan portfolio, assessing risk and writing loan presentations for approval, preparing loan documents and facilitating loan closings, servicing the loans, marketing consumer products to businesses, conducting business visits as required, and representing the Credit Union in the communities we serve.
This position reports to the Credit Union’s Chief Financial Officer. This is an hourly wage position with a rate of $37.02 per hour. Qualifications for this position include a four year Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting, Economics, Marketing or Finance. Or, a two year Associates degree that includes some Business Courses and at least two years of work experience in one of the following areas: 1) Business lending, 2) Credit Analysis with commercial accounts, 3) Mortgage lending.
The successful candidate will also have:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong computer skills, especially with financial spreadsheets and word processing.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, and interpret data.
- Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability to network with business and civic contacts and successfully develop new lending opportunities.
