Cashier I-10

Position Summary
Responsible for taking the guest’s order, ringing up quickly and accurately, repeating the order back to the guest, and collecting payment. Throughout the encounter the Cashier must be enthusiastic, personable and helpful to the guests.

Requirements

 • Count and verify the assigned till / cash drawer at the beginning of the shift.
 • Must be familiar with the menu.
 • Cheerfully greets guest and takes the order.
 • Make recommendations on popular dishes or personal favorites.
 • Remain attentive to guest’s conversation as it relates to the order.
 • Answer questions, recommends items if asked and offers substitutions of side items.
 • Ring up the order and then repeats the final order back to the guest when complete
 • Give pager to the guest and directs them to the Host (or Beverage Station if not on a wait)
 • When involved in the sale of an alcoholic beverage, checks identification for age verification.
 • Keep work area clean throughout the shift.
 • Perform other job-related activities as required or assigned by manager.
 

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Reading Skills
• Standing and walking during entire shift
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop and lift
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work accurately and under pressure
• Team player with other employees
• TABC Certification
