What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Property Manager position at SDMC?
Duties
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of two properties, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations. One property is located in Edgefield, SC and one in Johnston, SC. NOTE: Will Consider 2 part time positions in lieu of 1 Full Time.
- Screen and select qualified tenants in accordance with Fair Housing regulations.
- Prepare and execute lease agreements and renewals.
- Collect rent payments and ensure timely payment from tenants.
- Respond to tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and oversee property maintenance and repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
- Manage vendor relationships
- Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, and tenant interactions through data entry.
Requirements
NOTE: Experience in HUD, LIHTC and/or Onesite a Plus
- Previous experience in property management or a related field.
- Knowledge of contract law, Fair Housing regulations, and property management principles.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with tenants, vendors, and team members.
- Strong conflict management skills to handle tenant disputes or difficult situations.
- Proficient in data entry and using property management software systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of facilities management and property maintenance best practices.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
