Manufacturing Engineer I
Job Summary
The manufacturing engineer with 2 years min. experience in aerospace fastener manufacturing or precision machining environment. The engineer supports production processes, tooling, process improvements, and quality initiatives for aerospace-grade screws and bolts.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
· Document current cold heading and hot forge processes.
· Ensure products meet aerospace standards with first article inspection.
· Troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues on production floor.
· Update process drawings and tooling drawings with Solidworks and Autocad.
· Create work instructions and production in-process standards.
· Maintain and update production routers in ERP/MRP.
· Assist with tooling & fixture design and process validation activities.
· Collaborate with quality, production, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues.
· Manage multiple projects & deliver highâquality results in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering, or other related discipline.
· High Energy, self-motivated, self-started, & team player.
· Excellent interpersonal skills working with all departments.
· Proficient in MS Excel, Power Point & Word.
· Ability to create detailed drawings in Solidworks and Autocad.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
Preferred Qualifications
· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
· Experience in manufacturing processes such as forming, turning, and milling.
Work Environment
· Comply with and enforce FIT HSE policies.
· Able to lift 30 lbs.
· Ability to work on production floor.
