Key Responsibilities
- Budget Tracking: Establish cost baselines, monitor actual expenses versus budgets, and log commitments or accruals.
- Scrap control an audit process: Validate the scraps generates and the cost impacts associated with that
- Variance Analysis: Calculate cost deviations, identify unprofitable areas, and investigate budget overruns.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare monthly financial report, and performance metrics for management.
- Change Control: Assess change orders and project scope shifts to update financial forecasts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with procurement, project managers, and vendors to negotiate pricing and optimize expenditures.
- Follow up actions related to costs
- Overtime control and approval process
- Cost KPIs controls
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of cost management or project controls experience.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like SAP or Oracle. Industry bodies like AACE International provide professional guidance and standards for the role.
- Core Competencies: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills to influence stakeholders
