Cost Control Analyst

Job Title: Cost Control Analyst
Location: Whitsett, NC 27377 (Onsite)
Duration: 12-Month Contract – Potential for Permanent
Pay Range: $44–$48/hour on W2
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM/7 AM start.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cost Control Analyst to monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience with cost management or project controls in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track budgets, cost baselines, actual expenses, commitments, and accruals.
• Validate scrap generation and associated cost impacts.
• Perform variance analysis and investigate budget overruns.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and cost KPIs.
• Assess change orders and project scope changes and update forecasts.
• Monitor overtime costs and approval processes.
• Partner with procurement, project managers, and vendors to optimize costs.
• Track and follow up on cost-related action items.
• Support cost control audits and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of cost management or project controls experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
