Instructor of Exercise Science

The School of Behavioral Sciences at Black Hills State University invites applications for a 9-month, term faculty position in the Exercise Science Program.DUTIES: The successful candidate will teach a variety of courses in the undergraduate Exercise Science Program related to anatomy & physiology, kinesiology, exercise physiology, and exercise leadership. The candidate will be expected to maintain regular on campus office hours, assist with program accreditation, and sustain a commitment to the campus, community, and profession.QUALIFICATIONS:Required:1. A Master’s degree in exercise physiology, kinesiology, exercise science, health sciences, or a related field is required.2. Current certification through the American College of Sports Medicine as a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist.3. Previous clinical experience performing exercise testing/prescription and EKG testing/monitoring.4. Ability to teach a variety of undergraduate exercise science courses.5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.Preferred:1. Current relevant certifications (ACSM or NSCA).2.
