Role Description The District Janitorial Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, United States, responsible for overseeing janitorial operations across multiple client locations. This role includes scheduling and supervising janitorial staff, conducting site inspections, and ensuring cleaning standards and safety protocols are consistently met. The supervisor will develop daily and weekly cleaning schedules based on facility needs, Process weekly janitorial team timesheets in Smartsheet and review all reported overtime hours. Prepare status reports on cleaning metrics, service issues, and upcoming maintenance needs, coordinate training, coach team members on best practices, and support housekeeping procedures to maintain quality and efficiency. Talent recruitment is key as you will spearhead job fairs and recruit and train janitorial teams. Daily tasks include responding to client requests, resolving service issues, monitoring supplies and equipment, and collaborating with management to improve processes and customer satisfaction. Manage supply and equipment inventory by ordering janitorial supplies, cleaning products, disinfectants, paper products, and equipment parts.
This role will also support basic sales and account retention activities by identifying service opportunities and maintaining positive client relationships.

- Knowledge of workplace safety, use of cleaning equipment and chemicals, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and reliability in meeting commitments.
- Attention to detail: Keen observational skills to catch missed areas, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions that impact cleanliness and safety.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications is required for reporting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior supervisory experience in janitorial or facilities services strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
