What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clubhouse Employment Specialist position at Scranton Counseling Center?
The Clubhouse model of Psychiatric Rehabilitation is a recovery oriented, strengths-based program designed to assist members to identify, develop and enhance specific skills and goals which will be beneficial to them socially, economically, personally, and vocationally within the community setting.
The Katie’s Place Clubhouse has a vacancy for Employment Specialist.
Below is a non-encompassing list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
· Supervise members within the Clerical Unit of Katie’s Place Clubhouse.
· Facilitate daily Unit Meetings and weekly Planning Meetings for the Unit.
· Act as the lead within the Clubhouse on vocational initiatives with all members and supervise all staff in adhering to the Clubhouse standards with regard to employment programs.
· Provide oversight to members in the unit in creating letters, brochures, presentations, etc. that help to educate the community about Clubhouse employment programs.
· Ensure all required documentation is in compliance with regard to established time frames and performance standards as specified by Clubhouse International, CCBH, OMHSAS and SCC policy.
· Responsible for navigating the CCBH portal as well as authorized platforms of other Managed Care Organizations.
· Provide supervision and coaching of members while conducting site visits of employment placement regularly.
· Work within a nontraditional schedule, as stated in Katie’s Place Clubhouse policies, with regard to one evening per week (days may vary), one Saturday a month, and holidays.
· Must complete 12 hours Psychiatric Rehabilitation orientation within the first year of hire.
· Must complete 18 hours of CEU credits per year.
· Current Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) preferred or obtained within 2 years.
· Current ACRE Certification (Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators) or CESP Certification, or obtained within the first two year of hire.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a human services related field; one year of mental health experience preferred.
Maintain a current PA driver’s license.
