Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consistently maintain established production goals while meeting or exceeding defined quality standards throughout the PreCoding process.
- Identify and trend results and processes to develop and maintain a standardized PreCoding workflow and cadence
- Participate in system testing as needed to support system, application upgrades, and all processes and procedures
- Document verification using approved notation standards within the charge entry application and Hospital EMR
- Promote a team environment demonstrating our core values to achieve all departmental goals and supporting individual professional development
- Actively participate in meetings and educational programs to improve both individual and team quality
- Comply with HIPAA requirements in relation to all chart activities
- Ability to work independently, displaying a keen eye for attention to detail, and providing an accurate status of progress, issues, and risks on all work
- Ability to exercise considerable individual judgment and initiative, and to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Ability to work under moderate stress and pressure while maintaining a positive, professional manner, both in person, via phone, e-mail, and all other written communications
- Ability to produce quality, timely results, and exhibit good organizational and time-management skills
- Must work well with others, exhibiting professional courtesy and excellent customer relation skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of professionals, including leadership

- 3 years of experience in a medical (billing preferably) and or revenue cycle environment
- Knowledge of EMR documentation systems preferred
