Technical Sales Engineer - Network Security

Cyber Security Vendor

📍 Location: US, Tri-State (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut)

💰 Salary: $220,000 - $250,000 OTE


Are you a Technical Sales Engineer with a passion and deep understanding for Network security OR Threat Exposure Management? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments, love engaging with customers, and have the technical depth to back it up? Our customer is well established across the US with over 250 Customers and counting.


The Role

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you’ll be the technical backbone of the sales team, helping customers understand how solutions solve their toughest security challenges. You’ll work closely with prospects, partners, and internal teams to drive pre-sales engagements, conduct technical deep dives, and ensure customers see the full value of our platform.


What You’ll Be Doing

✅ Engaging with enterprise and industrial customers to understand their security challenges and demonstrate our solutions.

✅ Leading technical pre-sales discussions, POCs, and product demos.

✅ Working with network security teams to architect solutions that fit into complex environments.

✅ Acting as a trusted advisor, translating customer needs into technical solutions.

✅ Collaborating with sales, product, and engineering teams to drive business growth.


What You Bring

🔹 Deep expertise in network security – firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation, and beyond OR Coming from a technical background e.g. Network Engineering.

🔹 5 Years within a customer facing position from a Cyber Security vendor.

🔹 Experience in a pre-sales or customer-facing technical role.

🔹 Ability to explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

🔹 Self-starter mentality – you thrive in a remote, fast-moving environment.
