Childcare Coordinator

Please note: This position is part time, 15 hours per week and will split its time between two campuses:

1. North Ridge campus located at Dynamite and 64^th Street in north Scottsdale
2. Fountain Hills located at Fountain Hills Blvd and Glenbrook Blvd. in east Scottsdale

God has faithfully grown SBC from a humble beginning of 13 people in 1962 to more than 6,500 meeting weekly on four campuses. With plans to start other multi-site campuses in the coming years, we continue to press forward to take the message of Jesus into our communities throughout the Valley!

As the Childcare Coordinator, you are a vital part of the Team. In this role, you will report to the Women’s Programming & Childcare Supervisor and are responsible to oversee and coordinate Busy Bees and volunteers who will provide exceptional care and ministry to children during Childcare Programming on each SBC campus.

Your Essential Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

• Set up and maintain Check-In stations and serve as the Kids Check/Lead representative
• Greet, schedule Bees on the app, and train Busy Bees
• Ensure Busy Bees follow all SBC policies and procedures
• Maintain Busy Bee app by carefully considering preferred bees, watching for tech/human errors, and checking out jobs upon completion
• Provide feedback to Busy Bees with positive reinforcement or constructive feedback
• Relationally connect with Busy Bees
• Communicate professionally and gracefully to parent(s) any accidents/incidents that involve their child(ren)
• Relationally connect with parents AND children alike to the degree that many are excited to see you weekly and you can name multiple facts about their families as a wholeMaintain classroom order and sanitation guidelines, including pre- and post-program classroom walk-throughs
• Report unusual and questionable behavior immediately as discussed in Creating a Safe Environment and Scottsdale Bible Caregiver Training, including state Mandatory Reporting guidelines

• Ensure Busy Bees follow any special requests/schedules given by parents for children
• Adhere to all Safety, Security, and Sanitation guidelines as established by Scottsdale Bible Church
• Ensure Check-In/Check-Out and Accident/Incident procedures are followed always

Skills you need to succeed:

Knowledge of:

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Google Voice, Docs and Sheets
• TVs and Roku Devices
• Creating a Safe Environment and Scottsdale Bible Caregiver Training, including state Mandatory Reporting guidelines
• Safety, Security, and Sanitation guidelines as established by Scottsdale Bible Church

Education and/or experience:

• Prior experience in ministry, children’s programming, or childcare industry preferred
