Scotts Bluff County is currently accepting applications for the position of Management Accountant/Human Resource Director.

Management Accountant: Responsible for administrative and professional work directing and coordinating the budget and fiscal activities of the County. Work involves coordinating the preparation and administration of the County budget; coordination of financial system data processing requirements; analyzing and interpreting the County's financial situation in order to insure the most economical and efficient use of all resources available; and recommending policies to conduct desired results. Considerable independent judgment and personal initiative in performing assigned duties is required.

Human Resource Director: Responsibilities include managing all Human Resources administration functions of Scotts Bluff County including recruiting, hiring, discipline, staffing, fringe benefits; to assist in planning and coordinating the staffing activities and operations of the County; to coordinate assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies; and to provide highly responsible and complex professional administrative support to the County Board of Commissioners.

Combined requirements: A four-year college or university degree with a major in business and/or public administration, public finance, accounting, economics. Three-five years of experience managing Human Resources and to be certified in either SHRM or HCI.

General supervision for the Management Accountant / Human Resource Director position is received from the Board of County Commissioners with work being reviewed in the form of reports, conferences, and effectiveness of results obtained.

Must be able to pass criminal background check. This position is available for Veteran’s Preference. Scotts Bluff County is an EEO/AA employer.
