The Purchasing Team is responsible for keeping a large inventory of low-cost steel that will be readily available for our customers at short lead-times.
You will be working with some of the BEST people in the steel industry who are passionate about building relationships with customers, venders, and associates. Your initial responsibilities will be monitoring inventory levels, tracking the flow of procurements, and collaborating with venders and other Scott Steel associates.

Responsibilities:
- Buying activities
- Vendor P.O. process and tracking
- Vendor relationships
- Tracking inbound freight
- Inventory reporting and tracking
- Liaise with key Scott Steel team members
- Inventory activities and duties
- Other projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of MS Office; Proficient in MS Excel
- Strong phone presence and experience
- Proficient with fast-paced productivity and web presentation tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Track record of over-achieving
- Email marketing software experience a plus
