Senior Project Manager - Mission Critical, Advanced Manufacturing, Highly Regulated Environments

Location: Washington DC area

A strong opportunity is open for an onsite Senior Project Manager in the Washington, DC area who knows how to take ownership of complex construction projects from early preconstruction through final closeout.

This is an onsite role based in the Washington, DC area. This role is built for someone who enjoys being close to the work, leading major builds in the field, solving problems before they become bigger issues, and driving projects forward through strong communication, planning, and team leadership.

The right fit will bring experience managing large-scale construction projects, ideally within mission critical, manufacturing, industrial, advanced manufacturing, hyperscale, or similarly complex technical environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases of construction from preconstruction, estimating, and subcontractor buyout through project execution and closeout
  • Maintain overall project scope, budget, schedule, forecasting, change orders, owner billing, vendor invoices, and collections
  • Estimate and take off project scope, cost, and duration; analyze subcontractor bids and support bid proposal development
  • Negotiate contracts, revisions, changes, and additions with subcontractors, vendors, and project partners
  • Identify ways to reduce cost, save time, improve constructability, and deliver value without compromising quality or design intent
  • Enforce safety standards, processes, and procedures while supporting a clean, organized, and safe project site
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, quality control reviews, and project audits to ensure standards are met
  • Oversee daily project execution, resolve issues, and ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, codes, regulations, and client expectations
  • Secure permits and licenses while monitoring compliance with building codes, safety requirements, insurance requirements, and contract obligations
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, pay applications, change orders, meeting minutes, schedules, and closeout materials
  • Lead weekly OAC meetings, subcontractor meetings, and internal project team meetings to keep communication and progress aligned
  • Coordinate manpower planning, project team coverage, materials, equipment, and other resources needed from start to finish
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, design partners, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Lead, mentor, and provide ongoing feedback to Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, and Superintendents
  • Support client relationships and future project opportunities through strong project delivery and communication

Ideal Background:

  • 8–10 years of project management experience
  • Experience delivering large-scale construction projects; hyperscale project experience on $1B programs is preferred
  • Background in mission critical, manufacturing, industrial, advanced manufacturing, data center, or complex technical construction preferred
  • Must be comfortable working onsite in the Washington, DC area
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage budgets, schedules, change orders, RFIs, pay applications, owner communication, subcontractors, and internal project teams
  • Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred, though equivalent field experience will also be considered

This is a great fit for a Senior Project Manager who wants long-term growth, strong project ownership, and the chance to lead complex builds with a well-established team.
