This role focuses on working directly with consumers to help them resolve outstanding legal debt matters through negotiated payment solutions — giving them an opportunity to avoid or satisfy the legal process.
Enjoy a competitive hourly base rate, performance incentives, and the opportunity to earn up to $1,400 per month in commissions through collector-negotiated settlements.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the initial point of contact for consumers regarding outstanding legal debt matters.
- Negotiate payment solutions in compliance with firm, client, and regulatory standards.
- Make outbound and receive inbound calls related to legal collection accounts.
- Follow up with consumers on missed or returned payments to maintain settlement agreements.
- Exhibit professional negotiation skills and maintain high-quality legal collection standards.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly production and collection goals.
- Maintain knowledge of all relevant laws, regulations, and client requirements governing debt collection and settlement negotiations.
- Stay current on the legal process related to collections and advise consumers when appropriate.
What We’re Looking For
- Two years of experience in a high-volume call center environment.
- Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills with proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Capable of maintaining professional relationships in a competitive, fast-paced legal environment.
- Ability to work respectfully with a diverse range of people and maintain confidentiality.
Schedule, Compensation, and Benefits
- Monday through Friday schedule available, 9am-6pm.
- $20 hourly pay rate with potential to earn up to $1,400 per month in commissions.
