A Home Care Assistant provides personalized, non‑medical support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence, safety, and comfort. This role supports elderly individuals, people with disabilities, or clients recovering from illness or surgery. Compassion, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care Support: Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility needs (including walkers or wheelchairs).
- Medication Assistance: Provide reminders and help clients follow prescribed medication schedules; maintain accurate logs.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare meals according to dietary needs and nutritional guidelines.
- Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and maintain a clean, safe home environment.
- Companionship: Offer emotional support, conversation, and social engagement to reduce loneliness and improve well‑being.
- Transportation & Mobility: Assist with movement around the home and accompany clients to appointments.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in client condition to supervisors, families, or healthcare professionals.
Skills & Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment
Home Care Assistants work in clients’ homes and may travel between locations. Schedules is Part-time including weekends
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
