What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Scotsman Ice Systems?
- Assist with financial responsibilities to include monthly close process, cycle count process, and raw materials inventory process.
- Manage inventory transactions and investigate any discrepancies.
- Work with the Plant Assistant Controller and Plant staff to ensure financial reporting accuracy.
- Review variances with managers to determine corrective action.
- Assist with annual physical inventory process and control.
- Assist the Plant Assistant Controller and Plant staff to meet reporting timetable.
- Assist with preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and other financial reporting.
- Manage payables and perform all payables functions.
- Fulfill the financial control and risk management responsibilities inherent in the position.
- Conduct yourself in accordance with the Company code of ethics policy at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
