Senior Cost Accountant / Accounting Manager
Location: Aiken, SC
Salary: $110k to $125k plus bonus depending on experience
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant / Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the cost accounting function, as well as overseeing general accounting and financial reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the cost accounting function, including standard cost development and variance analysis • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures • Prepare and coordinate annual budget and forecasting processes • Coordinate with external auditors on audit and tax matters • Provide guidance and leadership to accounting staff
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance • 7 years of experience in cost accounting and general accounting • CPA or CMA certification preferred • Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles and practices • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance • CPA or CMA certification preferred
