What are the responsibilities and job description for the NC Pre-K Coordinator position at Scotland County Schools - NC?
Job Goals: To provide leadership and assistance in the development, implementation, and coordination of the NC Pre-K Program
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree B-K certification
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide direct support to NC Pre-K Teachers.
2. Provide coordination for all NC Pre-K services.
3. Assist in transition services for all NC Pre-K Students.
4. Assist in system wide screening, evaluations, and follow-up for children suspected to be Preschool delayed.
5. Coordinate and prepare materials needed for Scotland County NC Pre-K Committee Meetings and other functions as deemed necessary.
6. Support parents of Preschool children by providing advocacy and training.
7. Assists in the development of IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan)/IEP's (Individualized Education Program) for eligible students.
8. Assists in data entry and the NC Pre-K application process, student placement and other reports and duties when appropriate (Child Recruitment, Private Site Assessments, State Visits, Monitoring of the Program).
9. Assist with budgets, reports, resources, and personnel, as assigned.
10. Promote positive relationships among school personnel, community and other agencies.
11. Assist in securing staff development activities that are appropriate to meet the needs of staff members serving Preschool students.
12. Coordinates services, billings and records for eligible Developmental Day Care students.
13. Completes other duties as assigned by the supervisor
