We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Lead to oversee and manage the AP team in the Bangalore office.

What You’ll Do
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable operations, vendor management, and process improvement, combined with proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring a team. This individual will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in AP processes while driving operational excellence.
- Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts payable team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Manage workload distribution and provide support on complex or escalated issues.
- Accounts Payable Operations
- Oversee invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, and payment runs to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor AP aging reports and resolve outstanding liabilities promptly.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and statutory compliance
- Process Improvements & Controls
- Identify opportunities to streamline AP workflows and implement automation where possible.
- Enhance internal controls to prevent errors, fraud, and compliance breaches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Treasury, Finance) to ensure smooth operations.
- Vendor Management
- Build strong relationships with vendors, ensuring timely query resolution and effective communication.
- Negotiate payment terms and support vendor onboarding.
- Reporting & Audit Support
- Prepare monthly AP reports, KPIs, and dashboards for management review.
- Support internal and external audits by ensuring complete, accurate, and timely documentation.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
- ~4 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Payable in international environments with experience in US and European based companies
- 3–4 years of supervisory/team lead experience in AP operations.
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion or similar) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams effectively.
